No cookies, no ad networks, no tracking pixels, no account. Here is the short list of what this site can see, and what it deliberately cannot.

The short version
This site sets no cookies, runs no advertising, embeds no tracking pixels, and has no login. There is nothing here to build a profile out of, because there is no profile.
What follows is the long version, written so you can verify it rather than trust it.
What is measured
Cloudflare Web Analytics. It is cookieless and fingerprint-free: it reports aggregate page views, referrers, country and device class, and it cannot follow you to any other website. Nothing it collects identifies you individually.
Cloudflare edge logs. Standard hosting infrastructure records request metadata, including IP address, for a short retention window, for security and abuse handling. This is the same thing every web server on the internet does; it is not used for analytics and it is not read routinely.
What stays on your device and never leaves it
Your theme choice (light / dark / system) and your language preference are kept in your browser's local storage. They are read by the page you are looking at and are never transmitted anywhere. Clearing your browser data deletes them.
Third parties you can encounter here
Comments are hosted by Giscus, which stores them as GitHub Discussions. The comment widget loads only on article pages. If you post a comment you are acting inside GitHub, under GitHub's own privacy policy and terms — this site receives no data about you from that exchange beyond what is publicly visible on the thread.
Outbound links go to sites this policy does not govern. A link is not an endorsement of how the destination handles your data.
If you email me
The email lands in a normal mailbox and stays there until it is deleted. It is not added to any mailing list, and there is no mailing list to add it to. Subscription here means RSS, which requires no address and tells the site nothing about you.
What is never done
For the avoidance of doubt, this site does not:
- sell, rent or share data with data brokers
- run advertising or ad-network scripts of any kind
- use cookies for tracking, or any cookie you did not explicitly trigger
- attempt browser fingerprinting
- combine your visits here with your activity on any other site
- ask for, or store, an account
Your options
Blocking analytics with an extension breaks nothing on this site — every page works identically without it. Not commenting keeps you out of GitHub entirely. If you have emailed me and want that correspondence deleted, ask and it will be.
Changes
If this policy changes in substance, the date at the top changes with it. There is no 'we may update this at any time without notice' clause, because that clause makes a policy unreadable.
